Summary:

On 13th December 2021, Transparency International Pakistan organized a Mobile Legal Advice Camp at TMA Hall, District Bahawalnagar, Punjab. The objective of TI Pakistan’s legal advice camps is to provide free legal advice to the victims and witnesses of corruption on how to seek redress for their complaints.

Number of prominent political and social personalities of Bahawalnagar District including Ulema, Minority Leaders and Trade Unions participated in the legal advice camp. Citizens from different tehsils of the district Bahawalnagar attended the camp to discuss their problems with the lawyers. A total of 55 citizens visited the Mobile Legal Advice Camp including 10 females and 45 males. A total of 25 complaints were received related to Health, Education, Land Administration and Local Government. The complainants were given free legal advice by the professional lawyers present atthe Mobile Legal Advice Camp.

TI Pakistan will take up citizens’ complaints with the authorities to seek redress for the governance problems affecting daily lives of the people.
