Journalists urged to benefit from RTI law

PESHAWAR: Farah Hamid Khan, Chief Information Commissioner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Commission (KPIC) on Thursday delivered a session on RTI to journalists.
She spoke at a workshop titled “Intersection of Climate Policy and Journalism: Empowering Journalists for Informed Reporting”.It was arranged by Transparency International-Pakistan (TI-P) in collaboration with KPIC, here.
Executive Director, TI-Pakistan, Kashif Ali Shaikh, Dr Shakeel Khan, a lecturer, the University of Peshawar, and more than 30 journalists and experts from 17 vulnerable districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were among the participants.The organisers said the workshop provided an opportunity to enhance the capacity of journalists to understand investigative journalism through exercising RTI.
